What "without AI" means here
Aevo is an application for task management, notes and projects. Tasks, notes and projects sit as tiles on one shared surface and can be linked to each other. What it does not do:
- It suggests no tasks and rewrites none of yours.
- It reorders nothing that you ordered yourself.
- It summarises nothing and writes no text for you.
- It sends your content to no AI service and uses it to train no model.
What it does instead is narrow and inspectable. It works out how urgent a task has become and colours the tile accordingly. That calculation is a formula, not a model. It takes the date you meant to work on something and how often you have already pushed it back. More on that under tasks you keep putting off.
Why we decided against it
An assistant that thinks along has to read your content. With tasks and notes that is rarely harmless: they hold client names, salary negotiations, doctor appointments and half-finished thoughts. Content you never hand to a model needs no extra safeguards, no anonymisation and no contracts about it.
There is a price side too. AI features cost money per request, and that money sits in every subscription that offers them. Aevo costs 5.00 € per month because there is no rack of graphics cards behind it.
Not the same as "cannot do AI". Leaving it out is a decision, not a missing feature. If you want an assistant that plans your week, Aevo is the wrong tool, and that is fine.
Who this suits
Aevo suits people who hold their own work in their head and want a tool that keeps it visible instead of interpreting it. Typical situations:
- You work alone or in a pair and need no team administration.
- Your tasks and notes live in two separate programs and you want them together. See tasks and notes in one app.
- You want your calendar connected without a service drawing conclusions from it. See calendars over CalDAV and Microsoft 365.
- You care that no analytics run alongside. Aevo uses no tracking, no ad networks and no analytics cookies.
Data handling without the AI detour
The application runs in the browser and its backend sits in the EU. Your content is stored so you get it back, and that is all. There is no evaluation for advertising and no disclosure to third parties beyond the processors named in the privacy policy.
